District 2

CPRS District 2 is one of fifteen districts determined by CPRS. District 2 is part of Region 1 and has a large geographical area representing the 19 counties of: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo and Yuba. District 2 does not limit membership by job classification or job title, but includes anyone interested as a current member of CPRS working, living, attending school, or retired within our geographic boundaries.

Board Members

California Park and Recreation Society is the source of resources, tools, advocacy and events that strengthen California’s public parks and recreation industry. The CPRS, District 2 Board of Directors is a group of dedicated professionals who are committed to uniting members and creating a network across disciplines and agency boundaries.

Board Meetings

Monthly Board meetings are typically held the second Wednesday of the month from 11:00am - 1:00pm. The meeting location varies from month to month. The Board meetings are open to anyone in the Parks & Recreation field so please come join us at an upcoming meeting. We would love to have you!

Our Mission

The California Park & Recreation Society's mission is to advance the park and recreation profession through education, networking, resources and advocacy.
